Introducing The Love of KDHX
I'm involved in another Substack which is dedicated to restoring the values of KDHX radio in St. Louis
There’s supposed to be a fancy cross-post feature in Substack which allows me to just share this newsletter with my subscribers, but I don’t see it where all the help posts tell me it should be.
For those who don’t know, I’ve been involved with KDHX radio since before it went on the air Oct. 14, 1987. I had shows on the air from 1988 to 1993, and again since sometime in 2001. Three weeks ago, management fired ten djs, after firing two earlier that month, after firing one earlier this year. The only crime seems to have been that these djs disagreed with station management. After that, 20 volunteers have either or declared themselves on strike until the unfairly dismissed volunteers are returned.
We have formed a non-profit corporation of our own, the League of Volunteer Enthusiasts of KDHX, to work towards change and to eventually help the station regain its force as a powerful conduit for music in St. Louis and beyond. We started our own Substack, and I’d like to invite you guys to check it out and subscribe. And share with all your family and friends - everybody needs to know what’s going on.
